Taurolithocholic Acid 3-sulfate sodium salt is a GPR39 agonist. In the absence of Zn, its EC50 values are 71.6 µM and 69.4 µM in M39-20 and hGPR39-2 cells, respectively, in the presence of Zn, the values are 9 µM and 9.6 µM, respectively. Taurolithocholic Acid 3-sulfate sodium salt activates the GPR39 receptor and mediates intracellular calcium signaling pathways independently of the Zn-binding sites H17 and H19, and can be used in research on gallbladder-related diseases.
