Dobutamine, a synthetic catecholamine, increases cardiac output and corrects hypoperfusion. It acts on alpha1-AR, beta1-AR, and beta2-AR (alpha-1, beta-1, and beta-2 adrenoceptors) with selective agonist activity on beta1-AR and relatively weak activity at alpha1-AR and beta2-AR. [1] [2] [3] [4].
