SPH3127 (DRI 18) is a potent, orally active, novel direct renin inhibitor with IC50 values of 0.4 nM for recombinant human-renin and 0.45 nM for human plasma renin activity. SPH3127 has an anti-hypertensive effect and can be used to study hypertension.
