Tilavonemab (ABBV-8E12) is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the N-terminus of the human microtubule-associated protein tau and targets tau protein by binding to amino acid residues at the N-terminal end of tau protein. Tilavonemab blocks the ability of human and mouse neurons to uptake tau aggregates and can be used to study neurological diseases.
