Product Description

Aloenin aglycone (compound 13), an inhibitor of NF-kappaB, can be sourced from aloe exudate. It impedes TNFalpha-stimulated NF-kappaB transcriptional activity, showing an IC 50 of 18.7 µM. At a concentration of 10 µM, aloenin aglycone decreases both inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) gene expression in HepG2 cells exposed to 10 ng/mL TNFalpha [1].
