SM1044 is a dimer of dihydroartemisinin (DHA). It activates caspase, inducing apoptosis in RL95-2 and KLE cells. SM1044 inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells RL95-2, KLE, HEC-50, HEC-1-A, HEC-1-B, and AN3CA, with an IC50 of less than 3.6 µM. Additionally, SM1044 suppresses tumor growth in RL95-2 xenograft mouse models.
