Product Description

Antimalarial agent 38 (Compound 1) demonstrates antiplasmodial activity by inhibiting multiple strains of Plasmodium falciparum, including the D6 strain, chloroquine-sensitive Thai strain, and chloroquine-resistant FcB1 and K1 strains, with IC 50 values of 0.5, 13, 1, and 13 µM, respectively. This compound is non-cytotoxic to mammalian cells MCR58 (IC 50 >140 µM) and enhances the survival rate in a Plasmodium yoelii nigeriensis-infected mouse model.
