Anticanceragent 233 (compound 5g) is a 3,5-bis(arylmethyl)-4-piperidone derivative exhibiting anticancer activity, with GI50 values of 0.25 and 0.23 µM against cervical cancer (HeLa) and colon cancer (HCT116) cell lines, respectively. The chloro substituents on the aryl ring of Anticanceragent 233 interact effectively with the catalytic site of the 20S proteasome, inhibiting its activity to deliver its anticancer effects.
