Apoptosisinducer 27 (compound 1c) is a potent inhibitor of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, demonstrating an IC50 of 12.8 µM and inducing early apoptosis in these cells. Additionally, it can bind to DNA molecules as well as Bax and Bcl-2 proteins, thereby inducing DNA damage.
