Sym-021 is a human monoclonal antibody (mAb) targeting PDCD1/PD-1/CD279. It blocks the binding of PD-L1 and PD-L2 ligands, which stimulates the secretion of interferon IFN-gamma and IL-2 and promotes T cell proliferation. Sym-021 shows antitumor activity in PDX mouse models.
