DSPE-PEG-Ald, MW 3400, is a self-assembling poly PEG that spontaneously forms lipid bilayers in water. This polymer can be used to prepare nanoparticles or liposomes as targeted drug carriers, such as mRNA vaccines. The aldehyde group reacts with aminooxy groups to form stable oxime bonds, or with amines at pH < 7 to form reversible imine bonds. Reagent grade, for research use only.
