DSPE-PEG-Rhodamine, MW 5000 is a fluorescently labeled PEG lipid. This amphiphilic polymer can form lipid bilayers in water, which are utilized to encapsulate therapeutic agents like liposomal anticancer drugs or [mRNA vaccines]. Rhodamine has a maximum absorption wavelength of 570 nm and a maximum emission wavelength of 595 nm. Imaging techniques allow for easy tracking of the Rhodamine red dye.
