HOOC-PEG-SH (MW 3400) [also known as HOOC-PEG-Thiol (MW 3400)] is a PEG derivative featuring a terminal carboxyl group and a reactive thiol. The carboxyl group can form stable amide bonds with amines or less stable ester bonds with hydroxyls. The PEG linker between the thiol and the carboxyl group offers excellent water solubility, a flexible linkage distance, and increased stability.
