HOOC-PEG-NH2 (MW 40000) [HOOC-PEG-Amine (MW 40000)] is a heterobifunctional PEG crosslinker that serves to attach functional PEG to biomolecules, particles, and surfaces of other materials. The carboxyl group reacts with amines to form stable amide bonds, and it can also interact with hydroxyl groups to create less stable ester bonds. Additionally, the amine group facilitates reactions with various amine-reactive groups, such as succinimidyl NHS esters and aldehydes.
