mPEG-N3 (MW 40000) is utilized for modifying proteins, peptides, and other materials. Its azide group can react with alkynes in aqueous solution via copper catalysis and can also be easily reduced to an amine group. PEGylation enhances solubility and stability while reducing the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins. Additionally, mPEG-N3 (MW 40000) inhibits nonspecific binding of charged molecules to modified surfaces.
