DSPE-PEG3-azide (DSPE-PEG3-N3) is a lipid-containing azide utilized in forming micelles for use as drug delivery nanoparticles. As a click chemistry reagent, it features an azide group capable of engaging in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) reactions with alkyne-containing molecules. Additionally, it can participate in strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
