Dexamethasone (Hexadecadrol) acts as an agonist of the glucocorticoid receptor and effectively reduces the expression of CD11b, CD18, and CD62L on neutrophils, as well as CD11b and CD18 on monocytes. It holds potential for research on COVID-19. In LPS-induced macrophage inflammatory responses, Dexamethasone inhibits the production of exosomes containing inflammatory miRNA-155.
