Product Description

Leukotriene D4-d5 is a deuterated form of Leukotriene D4. Leukotriene D4 is one of the components of the slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A), produced from LTC4 by the metabolism of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase. It is the first cysteinyl leukotriene metabolite of LTC4. The bronchoconstriction and increased vascular permeability induced by Leukotriene D4 contribute to the pathogenesis of asthma and acute hypersensitivity reactions.
