Peptidylarginine deiminase type4 (PADI4) was firstly identified as a non-MHC RA genetic risk factor. Furthermore, PADI4 risk allele possessed the association with bone damage regardless of anti citrullinated peptide antibody (ACPA) positivity in Asian RA patients.
