Recombinant murine Fc fragment contains the hinge region, CH2, and CH3 region of the mouse IgG1 isotype. IgG1 is most abundant in serum among the four IgG subclasses (IgG1, 2, 3 and 4) and binds to Fc receptors (FcgammaR) on phagocytic cells with high affinity. Fc fragment is demonstrated to mediate phagocytosis, trigger inflammation, and target Ig to particular tissues.
Molecular Weight:
25.7 kDa (predicted). Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 30-40 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
