Propeptin is a peptide antibiotic composed of 19 amino acids. It exhibits weak activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Monobacterium, and Xanthomonas oryzae. Propeptin has no effect on tumor cell lines KB and L1210, however, it inhibits prolyl endopeptidase.
