7,8-Didehydrocimigenol can be used for the treatment of cardiovascular disorders such as atherosclerosis. It upregulates PPAR-gamma in EC inhibits NF-kB activity of TNF-alpha-activated EC which leads to selective inhibition of VCAM-1 expression.
