Amylin (8-37), rat, a truncated analog of native Amylin, selectively inhibits insulin-related glucose uptake and glycogen deposition in muscle tissue. Amylin, also known as islet amyloid precursor peptide (IAPP), is co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta-cells.
