Selective for alpha1beta1 over alpha2beta1, alphaIIbbeta3, alphavbeta3, alpha4beta1, alpha5beta6, alpha9beta1 and alpha4beta7. Inhibits FGF2-stimulated angiogenesis in the chicken chorioallantoic model. Displays antitumor efficacy in a synergistic mouse model of Lewis lung carcinoma, blocks human melanoma growth in nude mice.
