Citrullinated LL-37 5cit is a modified form of the LL-37 peptide. Its antiviral and antibacterial activities are significantly reduced compared to the natural LL-37. Additionally, Citrullinated LL-37 5cit is unable to decrease LPS-mediated TNF-alpha release due to its lack of LPS binding capability.
