Ac-LEVD-CHO (TFA) is an inhibitor of caspase-4. It can suppress the expression and secretion of IL-1alpha in human gingival fibroblasts and inhibits the activation of caspase-4 induced by the periodontal pathogen T. denticola surface protein Td92. Moreover, Ac-LEVD-CHO (TFA) reduces apoptosis in A549 and PC3 cancer cell lines caused by dominant-negative adenoviral RNA-dependent protein kinase expression.
