(D-Pro7)-Angiotensin I/II (1-7) is a selective peptide-based antagonist of Angiotensin-(1-7). It effectively blocks various biological effects of Ang-(1-7), inhibits the hypertensive response induced by microinjection of Ang-(1-7) into the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM), and eliminates endothelium-dependent vasorelaxation in mice. This compound is useful in cardiovascular disease research.
