T4 UvsY Protein is an accessory protein that catalyzes strand exchange in vitro. It enhances the strand exchange activity of the UvsX protein through specific interactions. Additionally, T4 UvsY Protein increases the rate of single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP hydrolysis by UvsX protein.
