Malic Dehydrogenase, Porcine (EC 1.1.1.37) exists in eukaryotic cells as two isoenzymes: one is expressed in the mitochondria and plays a role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, while the other is expressed in the cytoplasm, converting malate back to oxaloacetate from the mitochondria.
