Isoamylase, from Pseudomonas sp. (EC 3.2.1.68), is an enzyme with the systematic name glycogen 6-alpha-D-glucanohydrolase. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of (16)-alpha-D-glucosidic linkages in glycogen, amylopectin, and their beta-limit dextrins. Isoamylase is also effective in hydrolyzing amylopectin.
