Glutathione-S-Transferase, Rat (EC 2.5.1.18), is an isozymic phase II metabolic enzyme found in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms. Its primary role is to catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione (GSH) with various exogenous substrates, thus facilitating detoxification.
