Oxalate oxidase, B. subtilis (EC 1.2.3.4), is a redox enzyme that acts on the aldehyde or oxo group of donors using oxygen as the acceptor. It plays a role in the metabolism of glyoxylate and dicarboxylate. This enzyme requires two cofactors: FAD and manganese. The three substrates of oxalate oxidase, B are oxalate, O2, and H+, while its two products are CO2 and H2O2.
