Protein Kinase C, Rat (EC 2.7.1.37) is a type of protein kinase that regulates the function of other proteins by phosphorylating the hydroxyl groups on serine and threonine residues. This kinase can be activated by signals such as increased concentrations of diacylglycerol (DAG) or calcium ions (Ca2+).
