Trimethylsilyl Trifluoromethanesulfonate is a trialkylsilyl triflate used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. Trimethylsilyl Trifluoromethanesulfonate is used in combination with boron trifluoride ethyl ether to prepare a Lewis acid that is more powerful than its components and especially effective in acetonitrile solvent.
