NAPG, is a cytoplasmic protein that binds to a membrane receptor complex composed of VAMP, SNAP25 and syntaxin. It mediates the membrane binding of NSF, which is essential for membrane fusion reactions. An additional protein designated synaptophysin may regulate exocytosis by competing with SNAP25 and syntaxins for VAMP binding. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-312 from human NAPG, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli.
