ACE2 has direct effects on cardiac functions. It is expressed predominantly in vascular endothelial cells of the heart and kidney. ACE2 converts angiotensin I to angiotensin 1-9. ACE2 was also identified as a functional receptor for SARS coronavirus. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Direct or indirect): 1:2000-1:10,000 Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST with 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk. Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at RT. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
