ACE2 has direct effects on cardiac functions. It is expressed predominantly in vascular endothelial cells of the heart and kidney. ACE2 converts angiotensin I to angiotensin 1-9. ACE2 was also identified as a functional receptor for SARS coronavirus. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Direct or Indirect): 1:2000-1:10,000 Flow Cytometry: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST with 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk. Incubation time is 1 hour at RT is suggested. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
