Human Immunoglobulin A (IgA) represents about 15% to 20% of immunoglobulins in the blood, although Human Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is primarily secreted across the mucosal tract into the stomach and intestines. This prevents microbes from binding to epithelial cells in the digestive and respiratory tracts. Human Immunoglobulin A (IgA) helps to fight against pathogens that contact the body surface, are ingested, or are inhaled. Crossreactivity: Non-reactive with antisera to human albumin, IgD, IgE, IgG, IgM, and lactoferrin (IEP) Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoassays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
