ATP1B2, as known as sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase subunit beta-2 isoform 1, is the family of Na+/K+ and H+/K+ ATPases beta chain proteins, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ ATPases. It is the non-catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. The precise function of the beta-2 subunit is not known. This protein is composed of 3 subunits: alpha (catalytic), beta and gamma. Recombinant human ATP1B2, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa68-290 from human ATP1B2, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in Baculovirus. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE, Enzyme Activity. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
