Hemopexin (HPX) is produced by cells of the central nervous system. It is a 60kD serum glycoprotein. Hemopexin from human plasma has been used S. aureus surface colonization assay. It has also been used to stimulate mixed lymphocyte cells to determine the biomarkers in acute rejection. Source: Hemopexin, from human plasma Molecular Weight: ~57kD Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
