Plasmin is a blood enzyme that has the ability to degrade some blood plasma proteins, including fibrin clots, in a process called fibrinolysis. Specific Activity: As Reported Unit Definition: One unit will hydrolyze one micromole of tosyl-Gly-Pro-Lys-pNA/minute at 25C, pH 7.8. Note: 1 Unit = 1.25CU Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
