For the quantitative determination of bovine heat shock protein 72 (HSP-72) in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.078ng/ml Detection Range: 0.312-20ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of bovine HSP-72. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between bovine HSP-72 and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for HSP-72 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any HSP-72 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for HSP-72 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HSP-72 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
