Product Description

For the quantitative determination of bovine Immunoglobulin A in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.39ug/ml Detection Range: 0.39-25ug/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of bovine IgA. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between bovine IgA and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with bovine IgA. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for bovine IgA. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of bovine IgA in samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
