For the quantitative determination of goat insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 20ng/ml Detection Range: 80-1000ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of goat IGF-1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between goat IGF-1 and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IGF-1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for IGF-1. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IGF-1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
