Product Description

For the quantitative determination of human Immunoglobulin M in serum, plasma, urine, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 1.17ng/ml Detection Range: 4.68-300ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human IgM. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human IgM and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IgM has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IgM present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for IgM is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IgM bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
