For the quantitative determination of guinea pig Interleukin 13 in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 3.75pg/ml Detection Range: 7.5-300pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of guinea pig IL-13. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between guinea pig IL-13 and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IL-13 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for IL-13. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-13 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
