Partial recombinant corresponding to aa622-719 from human HOOK3 (NP_115786) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Probably serves as a target for the spiC protein from Salmonella typhimurium, which inactivates it, leading to a strong alteration in cellular trafficking. Component of the FTS/Hook/FHIP complex (FHF complex). The FHF complex may function to promote vesicle trafficking and/or fusion via the homotypic vesicular protein sorting complex (the HOPS complex). May regulate clearance of endocytosed receptors such as MSR1. Participates in defining the architecture and localization of the Golgi complex. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. AA Sequence: QNQGAAPEIQALKNQLQERDRLFHSLEKEYEKTKSQREMEEKYIVSAWYNMGMTLHKKAAEDRLASTGSGQSFLARQRQATSSRRSYPGHVQPATAR Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
