Cytokeratin 18 is an acidic type I keratin and a member of intermediate filament family of proteins. Cytokeratin 18 typically forms a heterotetramer with Cytokeratin 8 to form an intermediate filament in simple single-layered epithelial cells. Cytokeratin 18 is expressed primarily in non squamous epithelia and is present in a majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
