B1--Adrenergic Receptor (B1AR) is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) involved in the regulation of cardiovascular functions (1). Together with B2AR, B1AR is a major BAR in the heart. B1AR is activated by catecholamines and couples to Gas protein, activating adenylate cyclase and increasing intracellular cAMP levels (2). Beta-blockers (BAR antagonists), one of the major class of therapeutics in cardiovascular medicine, act mostly by preventing catecholamine binding to B1AR (3). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4C with gentle shaking, overnight. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
