Tissue powders are produced by saline wash of ruptured cells obtained from tissue and multiple precipitations in acetone, removing lipids. Suitable for use as a specific adsorbent to remove unwanted reactivities or as a source material. It is relatively stable, and is used in the preparation of some enzymes. Source: Human donor Form: Supplied as a tan powder. Solubility (1mg/ml in saline): Reddish-brown solution with particulates Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile saline. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
